Ancient Egyptian red ware ewer from Qaw el Kibir dated 2494 – 2345 BC

Orange-buff ware ewer with remains of red polished slip, with circular flat base, straight-sided body widening to shoulder and curving in to narrow tall flaring neck with double rim of uneven diameter pinched at one side to form a pouring lip. Associated with basin and derived from a metal prototype.
