Ancient Egyptian relief fragment from Deir el Bahari Thebes dated 1550 – 1295 BC

A fragment of relief with incised and painted decoration, including a cartouche with erased signs followed by ‘given life’. The curving line at the top is presumably from a winged sun disc. Below this are a cartouche and ‘given life’; below this a raised hand receiving an ankh and was sign, and, possibly, with a notched stick and bow below. The erased inscription is not legible, but the style of the carving is 19th dynasty; the name is presumably that of Amenmesse of Siptah. The edge on the left hand side is worked, or has been cut down
