Ancient Egyptian rim sherd from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Blue and green faience rim sherd from a bowl or a cup. Exterior surface is decorated with a moulded incised grid. The grid is in small regular squares but appears to be divided by a thinner line of squares on the diagonal. The interior is glazed on the rim, not on the rest of the surface.
