Ancient Egyptian rim sherd from Deir el Bahari dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Rim sherd from a blue faience bowl or dish, decorated with dark blue or black designs. The rim of the bowl is painted dark blue or black. The interior decoration is of lotus flowers and buds, and fish, one head of which appears on the piece. The exterior has lines in the shape of a triangle, probably lotus petals. Part of the blue glaze has been lost on all surfaces.
