Ancient Egyptian rope fragments from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Eight fragments of two ply rope, made from a light brown plant fibre, possibly palm or reed.
1- Curved, L. 165mm.
2- Fairly straight, with another short piece wrapped around the top L. 185mm .
3- Curved at the top, L. 105mm.
4- Slightly curved, 190mm.
5- Curved, L.75mm.
6- Fairly straight, L. 141mm.
7- Two pieces of rope knotted together, L. 190mm.
8- Two pieces, one is knotted at one end onto the other, Approx. L of both 325mm. And 1 piece of fine, fairly straight, two ply rope, deep in colour, L. 68mm.
