Ancient Egyptian rope matting from Mostagedda dated 5300 – 3000 BC

Rope matting made of bundles of reed fibre about tied together at intervals with twisted strands of reed fibre passing under and over each bundle. The matting has a border of thick twisted fibre rope along two edges. Four main fragments remaining and a few fibres apart.
