Rope soled sandal, probably the right foot. Made from palm fibre or reed. With five strands of two ply rope, woven into the edges near to the heel, and then rising over the foot to be joined together by four rows of stitching at the front centre, which join the straps to the base of the sandal, and presumably passed through the space between the big toe and the next toe enabling the sandal to be held on. Parts of the edge of the sole are missing, and most of the strap has become detached from the rear the sole, and all from the front centre.
