Ancient Egyptian sandal sole from Amarna

Leather sole from a sandal of an adult’s left foot. There is an intentional hole pierced through the middle of the sole, towards one end. Made from one piece of leather, but now in two fragments, being split where the instep meets the heel. The heel is 1924.30.52.2. The piece has two points of damage or wear resulting in two holes across the ball of the foot, and loss to the edge around the toe. The edge of the sole has a double row of stitching around the toes. Possible red tint to the leather around toes, or natural colour of the deteriorating leather.
