Ancient Egyptian scarab from Abydos dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Base of scarab decorared with incised peg like figure of Bes holding knives with four stems with lotiform terminals tete beche, two on each side of figure. Back of scarab has head, clypeus and plates shown, prothorax and elytra marked, legs raised, feathered and undercut.
