Ancient Egyptian scarab from Matmar dated 1945 – 1550 BC Green glazed steatite scarab. Base incised with two linked scrolls and cord design. Back has head, clypeus, plates, prothorax, and elytra shown. Legs indicated by incised grooves along the edge which are not undercut.
