Ancient Egyptian scarab from Sesebi Upper Nubia dated 1479 – 1425 BC

Fragment of blue glazed faience scarab, about half remaining broken along the length. Inscribed on base with Mn-hpr-R’, Tuthmosis III, in cartouche. On the back the head and clypeus are missing, the plates, prothorax, and elytra are present with nicks at the shoulders not shown. Legs raised and undercut. Channel running through length form perforation for threading.
