Ancient Egyptian sealing fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Irregular shaped mud sealing fragment. On the upper surface is the impression of half an oval seal with a hieroglyphic inscription or motif. On the back of the piece there is an impression of a cord. The seal impression that remains is of the right side of the seal, and it contains the figure of a standing woman, possibly a goddess who may have a sun’s disc on her head. There may be a short handled fan at her back, perhaps part of ‘t_3y hw’ – fanbearer.
