Ancient Egyptian serpent case from Naukratis

Copper alloy oblong box, closed at one end and sealed at the other. May contain a mummified or desicated small snake. On the top of the box is modelled a snake looped over on itself to make an approximate figure of eight. There is also a raised loop on edge near to the back of the snake, and on the opposite edge near the front of the snake. The closed end has a hole in it. The outer surface brown with patches of green corrosion.
