Ancient Egyptian serpent case from Naukratis

Copper alloy oblong box, closed at one end and open at the other. Originally would have contained a mummified or desicated small snake. On the top of the box is modelled a snake looped over on itself to make an approximate figure of eight. There is a raised loop near to the back of the coil. Parts of the sides and base have corroded into holes. The outer surface brown/red with patches of green corrosion.
