Ancient Egyptian shabti from Tell Nabasha Am Tell Sueilin dated 747 – 656 BC

Glazed faience shabti figure. Cream in colour with brown wig and text. The surface is degraded and so the colours may well have degraded too. Mummiform in shape, the figure has both arms modelled across its chest. Each hand holding tools in relief, probably hoes, detail not clear. The facial features are unlear, though the nose and eye sockets are visible. The wig lapets fall either side of the face. There is a column of text written on the back of the shabti. Naming the Musician of Amun Ankhenese.
