Ancient Egyptian shuttle from Qasr Ibrim Nubia dated AD 250 – 1400

Short shuttle of lightweight wood, stained brown, stain surviving in parts. Decorated with deep incisions of three single lines with large X inbetween. 2 large Xs in total. The shuttle has a small cut groove at each end to take the wound thread. Marks of use visible on the shuttle.
