Ancient Egyptian silk fragment from Mostagedda dated 30 BC – AD 395

Woven fabric, warp and weft little twisted. Warps very evenly but widely spaced. Fragments of fine, plain woven silk with brown warp and weft stripes of green, beige, dark red, tan and brown. Green and dark red predominate. Cleaned and mounted.
