Ancient Egyptian simpulum handle from Tanis San el Hagar dated 30 BC – AD 395

Bronze handle from a simpulum (ritual dipper). A simpulum was a sign of priestly office. Old records indicate that it was originally inlaid with red paste, but no signs of this are visible now.
