Ancient Egyptian stela of Bebi fragment from Dandara dated 2181 – 2055 BC

Part of small a rectangular stela of Bebi. On the left is figure of Bebi in raised relief with part of his wife’s figure preserved behind him. With four lines of inscription on the right. “An offering which the king gives to Anubis, he who is upon his mountain / he who is in the place of embalming, lord of the Necropolis / that he may give offerings for the Sole Companion / the revered Bebi”.
