A fragment of coarsely woven, natural coloured flax. There is a fringe on one side which may be caused by fraying threads. Ridges are formed within the weave using thicker weft threads.
Double threaded warps and wefts with nine warps and five wefts per centimetre. The ridges are formed with one thick weft, two plain woven wefts, one thick weft, two plain woven wefts and one further weft. The thick weft is approximately four ply. All threads are S twisted.
