Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Hawara or Illahun dated AD 395 – 642 A linen fragment, woven with thick threads with a loose fringe along one end with an embroidered band of diamond shapes in blue, green, red and mauve woollen threads. Plain woven with 12 warps and nine wefts per centimetre.
