Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Oxyrhynchus dated AD 395 – 642

A linen tapestry woven panel in purple, green and red wool and undyed flax. The background is purple with a green square in the centre with four other squares in the corners and there are pink diamonds between the squares. They are all bordered and linked by yellow wool. Also decorated on the purple with small natural coloured flax squares. Natural colour on two sides.
There are eight warps per centimetre with two threads per warp.
