Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Oxyrhynchus dated AD 395 – 642

A linen border, tapestry woven in purple wool divided into compartments by waving floral stems outlined in undyed flax; animal forms, hare, lion and stag and a spotted creature being shown.
There are nine warps per centimetre and two or three threads per warp.
