Ancient Egyptian textile fragment from Oxyrhynchus dated AD 395 – 642

Fragment of woollen tunic with tapestry woven band. Brown ground with part of a purple band. There is a stripe with a wavy design, bordered by brown wool. Other designs in natural coloured wool have faded.
There are 11 warps per centimetre with S twist warps.
