Ancient Egyptian thread from Mostagedda dated 2181 – 2025 BC Two thread loops made with 8 to 10 thick fibres twisted together and bent over to form loops. One of the loops is wrapped with fine soft linen yarn on which is some adhesive material, celluloid. It is threading for beads, see 1930.56.6.a.
