Ancient Egyptian thread from Mostagedda dated 4000 – 3500 BC Several fragments of linen thread, all under 30mm in length. Made by doubling together two threads each composed of 5 or 6 doubled yarns twisted tightly into one close strand. Fibre type A, very clean and well prepared.
