Ancient Egyptian tile fragment from Tell Dafana

Blue and turquoise rectangular plaque, with concave finished edge at one end, and a broken edge at the other. Side edges appear to be the original finish. Into the broken edge three holes have been drilled, it is most likely that at least two were for the of steel pins for a twentieth century display. Fragments of modern paper adhere to one of the sides. The opposite side appears to have tiny particles of gold adhering to the surface.
