Ancient Egyptian tunic textile from Faiyum dated AD 395 – 642

Portion of linen tunic. The opening for the neck has a collar of red wool embroidered in flax and blue wool. Below the collar is an oval tapestry woven in purple, blue and yellow wool, the designs edged with flax stitches.
