Ancient Egyptian wall covering fragment from Dandara dated 332 – 30 BC

Part of a faience ring bead wall covering, backed in wax or fat, probably at the time of excavation, or shortly after. Originally held together by thread. Yellow, Blue, red, white and green, and possibly purple, ring beads arranged in a geometric pattern. The wax is failing and releasing beads. Probably from a wall hanging, or possibly used to cover a body. Patterns seem similar to those painted on tomb ceilings.
