Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Faiyum dated AD 395 – 642

Fragment of woollen tunic with roundel in tapestry weave, possibly the end of a shoulder band. Bird in flight, yellow on purple ground, with border of yellow, blue and purple spaces edged with blue and purple. There are eight warps per centimetre.
