Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Karanis dated 30 BC – AD 395

Wollen, fine, roughly square piece of textile. Warps brown, wefts green or blue. Narrow brown stripe on either side on which is decorative stitching in red. Selvedge 2/6. Numerous gaps in one corner and one gap accross one of the two red stripes.
