Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated AD 550 – 1400

A fragment of natural coloured tabby woven wool or cotton. There is a decorative embroidered band composed of two parallel lines, one red and purple, one red and green, with star like six pronged shapes in the centre in yellow, green, red and blue.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
