Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated AD 550 – 1400

A fragment of coarse dark brown wool tabby ground with natural coloured double bands running parallel through the centre. There is a fringe around the edges. One corner has a longer pleated fringe.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
