Ancient Egyptian wool fragment from Qasr Ibrim dated AD 550 – 1400

Four fragments of wool with bands or stripes in red, natural, brown green, blue and purple. There are wool cords on each side of three of the pieces and one side on one piece, wrapped in light blue and red yarn to form stripes or bands. There are remnants of dark blue and green cords or fabric on the outside of the red and blue cord.

Part of large collection of textiles from Qasr Ibrim.
