Hyksos scarab on bronze ring.
The base depicts a striding falcon-headed god and is represented on top of the hieroglyphic sign for ‘lord’, neb. The deity wears a pointed kilt and holds a lotus flower in its left hand. The cross-hatched pattern on the kilt and the hollowed out executon of the scene are characteristic of the local Canaanite scarabs, while the imagery and mythological motifs are completely Egyptian.
