Ancient Egyptian eye inlay from Baqaria Armant

Most of an inlaid eye from a bull mummy. Made up of a thin disc of brown or blue stone, probably steatite, surrounded by most of an oval of white ivory, and set at either side with a triangle of glass or stone, which now appears black in colour but may once have been red. These triangles also have an ivory band edging them, though it is only partially present. Patches of gold leaf overlay the ivory in parts, though it may have moved from a further surround. The item has been given a backing of some kind to hold it together, which looks like mica, this has now become detached.
