Ancient Egyptian inscribed red quartzite fragment from Amarna dated 1550 – 1295 BC

Red quartzite fragment, the top border and edge are smooth and polished, and represent the original edge of the piece. Below the border the surface has been taken down and recarved. The overcarving is fairly deeply cut, no traces of the original are visible.
