Ancient Egyptian loom weight from Amarna dated 1352 – 1336 BC

Ovoid piece of limestone with vertical incised grooves dividing it into quarters. Identified as a loom weight, the grooves to hold string by which it would be suspended (modern string now wrapped round the weight). Surface friable.
