Ancient Egyptian model hawk from Faiyum or Abydos dated 664 – 332 BC

Model wooden bird/hawk on a plinth from the top of a minature coffin (probably 1902.53.15.a). The hawk has a hole in the base of the plinth for attachment. The hawk is depicted, with legs together wings furled. Remains of paint remain on parts of the bird. The front shows some remains of gilding. Is not an exact match to 1902.53.15.b
