Ancient Egyptian sealing from Tell Dafana dated 664 – 525 BC

A roughly circular jar sealing made of a white gritty plaster. Part of one edge is missing. The upper, domed surface has an impression of the cartouche of Psamtek I, topped by two plumes. At right angles to these plumes are another set, atop of which is the same cartouche, but only the top of this remains. The outer surface has become dirty in places. The bottom surface has a square impression, with triangular sections across the corners, probably the top of the jar.
