Ancient Egyptian shabti fragment from Abydos dated 1550 – 1069 BC

Shabti figure fragment of painted pottery, with arms crossed over chest holding two hoes. Broken off at knee, legs missing. White background, worn away in parts. Red face and hands. Black hoes, bag on back, facial features and column of text down front. Metal spike protrudes from base, from modern mount. Circular paper sticker on back reads’11.’ Old card states ‘auf’ as the name or part of the owner’s name.
