Ancient Egyptian shabti from Abydos dated 1550 – 1069 BC

Shabti figure of painted pottery, with arms crossed over chest holding two hoes? Wears an apron style kilt, usually denoting a foreman of shabtis. Yellow painted background (now worn off in areas), with wig and column of text down the front in Hoes, and border to the text in red. Traces of modern glue on the back, and a hole in the feet (probably from modern mounting). Circular paper sticker on back reads ’30’. Old card reads Mersu on
