Ancient Egyptian stela from Abydos dated 2055 – after 1650 BC

Stela of (ii?)?, born of the lady Wenta. Part of limestone stela. Larger portion incised with figure of man, seated on a chair, broken away at thighs, wearing shoulder length wig, collar, tight fitting robe, right arm extended along thigh, left arm bent across chest, holding tall vase in front of face. Smaller fragment from bottom of stela shows end of chair leg and base lines. Found loose in drift sand or reused as paving stone in late tomb.
